AWFS Fair Las Vegas
The show went well yesterday. Very successful. So many people stopped by the booth to see the film and watch demonstrations and many highly motivated woodworkers from around the US and Central America in the south and Canada in the north too.
My demonstrations went really well and I should say that many events prove to me what woodworking is all about. Before the show I could not find a bench supplier through normal channels. I went on line to find a local woodworking store and came across the Woodworkers Emporium in Las Vegas, called them and talked to the owner, Christian. I told him of my predicament, how I couldn’t demonstrate withut a bench and he immediately offered me the use of one of his. Hirer at the show i found it in the back of his truck ready to go and so the show was on. If any of you woodworkers out there go by his store I gaurantee he’ll be as helpful with you as he was with me. Superb. Thank you Christian!
Should be a busy day today. I have acclimated to Nevada and the USA. We joked around a lot yesterday with people and persuaded a lot of people that woodworking was changing and transforming back to real woodworking and people felt inspired by what was happening. I will post pictures tomorrow along with comments I remember.
