Bright day dawning

It’s early morning yet my pulse races for the unknown day yet to unfold.
And light rises with its steady rays filtering through the swaying trees and I wonder:
Yesterday is gone. It no longer exists. Tomorrow is not become, yet we hope for it.
But today unfolds its seconds and minutes with each footstep, pulse and lung-filled breath.

The clouds turn pink against the blue of nothingness beyond.
And myriad stars are hidden now as minutes before they hung in space
where once I saw them hanging like silver spheres of beauty
And the branches black, now grey reveal their green leaf one by one as they emerge from the dark mass and I remember that…

…the path I take today is filled with the sunrise of hope like the first gleam of dawn that shines ever brighter until the full light of day.
