I never thought about an alternative pencil sharpener to my 1” chisel or even to what has become a conventional rotary pencil sharpener. I demand superfine long points for my layout work and truly fine lines. I was with Robin Lee at Veritas recently and he introduced me to a wonderful tool developed in the USA in 1905. As with all things, Veritas improved features to create the better mousetrap and this sharpener gets right to the point.
Long points are perfect for we woodworkers and I suppose my 1” chisel is the very fastest of all. Nothing comes close. But I enjoy these types of inventions, don’t you?
