Could This Be the Event for You?

The event described in this post is a past event.

Here it is. Something I have wanted to host for years is but a few weeks away. I have said often enough that it is not so much what you make but how you make that really matters the most. How and why you work determines the outcome and for different people the outcome  may be different. Through the years I have learned that many woodworkers are not necessarily looking for a quick fix or a method that negates skill. In fact it is most often the opposite, but they just don’t have the confidence to make the change and get started on a path to developing true skill by establishing a working knowledge they feel that they can rely on. Our work has been proven to make change for thousands of woodworkers.

Who does our reach to and what does it matter? Well, we believe it matters and we want to share our work with people who love to work wood with their hands because they to see we have a way of reaching and teaching a new generation who can actually engage in real woodworking. This first workshop is about making joints, how to perfect the art joinery and where and when to use them. After all, everyone wants their joints to fit perfectly. Beyond that and as an added bonus it’s also about reaching out to others we know, the young, a next generation, friends and so on. Using methods they may never know of or see if we don’t make changes to attitude is important and increasingly so as culture changes. I love the idea that we all have a part to play in this and that we can show how woodworking using hand methods will reach from past generations into the future. That’s what I am excited about this series.

Don’t worry, we will be proving that woodworking works with hand methods as well, but we want to flesh out the endeavour to add value and meaning that defies normal educational channels. We’ve been doing this for more than two decades but this event will open your eyes to things you may have never seen or heard of before.

*The price was originally higher but we changed it because we want to make the event as accessible as possible.
