You’ve Not Seen This Anywhere Before…

…outside of attending my lectures that only happened at two venues this year.

Periodically we update our subscribed woodworkers on issues we don’t post elsewhere. Woodworkingmasterclasses.com is our interactive group of woodworkers who love hand tool woodworking and want to master their skills. The audience continually grows ever larger and this has proven the most reliable way to get core information out there unhindered and unfettered by unwanted advertising including our own.

I’ve developed a hand tool method I use all the time in my own woodworking for developing that perfect mortise and tenons on frames like doors and framed panels. We’ve never published this in any form before now; not online, in any book, blog, how-to, video, DVD and it’s not available on YouTube or any social media either.

Here is my system for cutting mortise and tenon joints with perfectly corresponding parts. No gaps and perfectly paraplanar cheeks to tenons and mortises resulting in any door or frame you plan to make. You will need to subscribe but that’s free, quick and simple. If you don’t like us you can hit the unsubscribe any time you want to.

  1. Monthly price is well worth the money. Best investment made hands down. It’s not the tools. It’s the knowledge. You’ll get it here.

  2. Fantastic! It’s perfect for those (like me) that have a little problem with keeping the chisel vertical.

I have a little question, Paul: do you know if this method will damage the vise if you use it for a long time? Unfortunately, actual vises are not so strongs like a good Record vise used to be. If my vise is a leg vise made with beech wood and a 24 mm square screw shaft, do you think it will stand the strong hammering when it comes to make mortise holes in strong woods?

    Thank you very much.

  3. Also there is a forum there that is very friendly and the people are eager to share advice.

  4. If you need practical practice do the coffee table build on wwmc. I’m just about to do glue up on that project and I feel a lot more confident with my mortise and tenon joints. It’s an amazing project with lots of them to practice on. 🙂

    1. I probably overdid the amount but it is a perfect training vehicle and I did love making that project.24 mortise and tenons as I recall. Wait till you get to the rocking chair with 46 I think.

      1. I really can’t wait to do that project but I think the dining chair is next for me. 🙂

  5. I built a workbench in 2016, which is a bit different from your bench. But I used all the methods and techniques, I learned from your videos and I chose the recommended height too. I still couldn’t be happier with my bench!
But in fact, chopping square mortises was really difficult for me, a bloody beginner. With this new method, it will be much easier to get precise results.
    Thank you so much Paul!!!
