I’ve 3 Giveaway Prizes to Share

To share my skills and abilities with woodworkers around the world I use my blog, social media, our woodworkingmasterclasses.com channel and my YouTube channel. The platforms have served me well as we explore the different channels for passing on our work to a global audience. YouTube seems to need a constant boost and I don’t mind at all doing that as long as it doesn’t compromise my freedoms to speak forthrightly as I work. The giveaways this time are one of my highly prized Preston 2500 hand router planes as the first prize and two second prizes, each a signed copy of my latest book, Essential Woodworking Hand Tools. I hope that these will bless the lucky winners through a lifetime of use.

All we are waiting for to kick off the giveaway is to reach 275,000 subscribers. At the time of writing, we only have 186 to go. Once we reach that number we will post details to enter the giveaway.

If you haven’t already subscribed to my YouTube channel you can do so by clicking here and help us reach the goal faster.

  1. Very generous. I hope you get the required subs and many more. It would be nice to see a maker soar whos channel didn’t promote fidget spinners, makeup or games etc. Of course, the worst of them all is the “shabby chic or rustic”…ugh. I would very much like a signed book. I already have one copy, but a signed one would take its place on the shelf easily. Best of luck.

  2. That’s awesome Paul hope you get your number, always a pleasure getting your emails really look forward to them

  3. Paul congratulations for having such subs numbers.

I will be entering the giveaway in hopes of winning ssuch a fine hand router as that and what a gift it would be. ?

  4. I knew there was a reason why I didn’t buy the router plane I was looking at yesterday! What a coincidence!

I already have your book and DVD’s, so I may end up gifting that to my dad if I end up winning won of those.

Good luck Paul! I’m sure you’ll get to 275,000 in no time!

  5. Try to make more short videos to have more views on youtube. For example you could make short videos about your tools, show a Preston router, describe functionality tell us who is Preston, his history. You could have a lot of videos like this. Peoples will subscribe.

  6. Although I already have a router plane, it would be very cool to have one that you’ve used yourself. It would join the rest of my growing collection of hand tools. A signed copy of your book would be just as valued.

Been watching your videos for a while now and just recently made my first handcut mortise and tenon joint. Not just my first handcut one, my first ever. Due primarily to watching your instruction on how to do it. Didn’t come out perfect, but pretty darn good, and perfectly functional. More to come, and it is my first ever joint that didn’t include any type of fastener.

Thank you for all the instructional videos. Too bad I can’t subscribe twice, but here’s to your first half million subscribers. I don’t think that goal will be too far off. (you may have hit the 275,000 goal while I was typing this) 🙂

  7. I really enjoy your blogs and videos. As you have discovered there is a great thirst for better information about working (And creating) with our God given hands and senses. Please continue.

  8. Hi Paul, you will hit the target no problem. I’ve been following your blog for some years now, it’s almost as if your in the workshop with us. Some time I’m sure I can hear a voice saying stick close to the knife wall.
    Wishing you well regards Larry

  9. According to YouTube the figure has now been passed…
    It’s currently showing 275,025

    Congratulations!

  10. Do you need my address now or should I wait? Have the book.

The Preston would be much appreciated.

  11. Hi Paul,

The Preston would find a safe home in Allentown, PA within my tool cabinet (your design). It will be cleaned and properly sharpened. It’s handles will be lightly sanded and protected with shellac. It will rest next to it’s friend, the Stanley hand router and will be very useful. It will help to shave tenons to final thickness as well as curl pine, red oak, or mahogany from housing dadoes. It will continue to live its life…not in idle but rather in perfect harmony with wood.

  12. Paul Sellers is one of my favorite woodworkers to watch on uTube. When I talk to other people who like to do woodworking, I mention Paul Sellers name and encourage them to watch his videos. Lots of valuable information, enough that would take more than one watching, esepically when your building a project like his video has in it. A+ to Mr Paul Sellers. I was trained under a graduate fromTae Frid back in 1980-1983, at Murray State University.

  13. As my odds on winning a prize seem to be roughly 275,000 to 1, it seems like somewhat of a long shot! I would particularly appreciate owning the router to go with my Record as your latest thinking on mortice and tenon joints seems to require us to have TWO routers. I have also quite a good old woman’s tooth, but in my inexpert hands that is not the same thing!
Good luck with all your endeavours, you are a global treasure!

  14. I think I have watched every one of your You Tube videos, many multiple times. Your straightforward instruction is an invaluable resource for all. I just wished I had moved to New York state prior to your departure! I would have loved to attend your courses and really learned from a master. Instead I will just persevere with watching your videos and trying my luck in my little shop in the basement. I happen to be currently reading your book! The Preston plane looks like a real jewel.

  15. Enjoy the videos, they make the techniques look manageable! Coming to woodworking kind of late so the instructions are a big help.

  16. What a true Craftsman and Gentleman.
Any of those prizes would be a cherished
gift to receive. Thank you Sir.

  17. Congratulations Paul,
I’m happy to hear your well on your way to reaching your number and many more. I wish I came across your channel a year ago. Your straight forward teahing methods are magnificent. Every time I tune in to your channel it brings me back to my early days of shop class as boy. It was a real joy, something kids today just will never experience. You’ve made that a realty. Thank you for your profound wisdom and the willingness to share! It would be incredibly awesome to win you plane, however it will be even more awesome to see you’ve reached yet another goal.
    My gratitude and many thanks.

  18. Hi Paul, still looking for a Youtube on how to create a shallow two compartment tray with angled sides and a center handle, the angled out corners joined by dovetailing.

    Thanks JIM

  19. I would love a signed copy of your book. A router plane, would be highly prized, but a serviceable router plane can be found almost anywhere.

  20. keep up the good work Paul Sellers.
I consider myself an almost 60 year old woodworking apprentice and really learn a lot from masters like yourself.
It’s quite a challenge finding good woodworking hand tools where I live in South Africa at a affordable price thus making it essential to be able to restore old used hand tools. Would have been so much more difficult without your skill and knowledge shared so generously on social media.

    Well done

  21. I am getting the word out to my woodworking friends so it will not be long till you hit the number. I love the work you’re doing.
    Thanks so much Lee

  22. I’m the 275 885th! What a wonderfull router this Preston, i dream of having one of this for grooves but also to mortice and tenon joint… but the knowledge you share… this is priceless.

What about the next step you give as a prize, a day invitation at your school with your other students? I’m ready to cross the Chunnel -and improve my english!

Good continuation and many thank’s! 🙂

  23. I’ve watched all the youtube videos, many more than once and I learn something every time. I’ve also started watching on the website. Nice work and lovely calming presentation style. As I usually do woodcarving and turnin, your content helps when I want to try my hand at othef types of projects. Another great giveaway, good way to pay it forward.

  24. I see the quota is now met- how do we sign up for the give-away? My fingers are already itching for that beautiful hand router!

  25. You should have no problem getting to your goal of subscribers. You have one of the best You Tube channels on the internet. I would love to win one of your books. Best wishes.

  26. Hallo Paul,

Greetings from a huge fan and subscriber from Holland.
Love your work and – as a starting woodworker- learn a lot.
    Thank you very much.

  27. Your teaching is priceless. I hope to pass on what I’ve learn from you. Either prize will be a treasure to keep. Thanks for all you do.
