  1. Dear Paul,
I hope you are doing well.
I am under the impression you are loosing weight the last times.
    Take care of yourself.

    1. I wish! I have bee the same weight for at least te years. The only change is an unusual one for my age and that is that I have more muscle than fat than I did say two and three years ago.

    2. Thanks for your concern. I am a 72 year old ex fireman. I am only a woodworker I am going slowly through your vidios. Just about to spend the day sharpening all my tools thanks to a couple of your vids. Still learning hopfully transforming myself from a bodger to a biginer tried the dove tails got it right after third attempt will have another go at the other three corners today. Thanks again. Tiny.

    3. Paul you and your family stay safe also. This includes all your staff. George Geyer.

  2. Dear Paul,

Thank you for this message. Please take care of yourself. Avoid risks, please, be careful.
Best of wishes for you and your family and team.

  3. Paul,
I appreciate the sincere wishes, just as sincere as your woodworking gifts you share.
I heard the “taking care of others” in your talk and have noticed, in this time of anx, communities are reverting back to older times where thoughtfulness and concern were abundant. I hope after the peak of the virus spread, we can carry it on a bit.
Thank you so very much for this and ALL you do for so many.

  4. Hello Paul and others,

Such a good point, to stay healthy and strong. A little exercise and activity at home and trying to eat well should be top priorities once we’ve taken care of hygiene and ensured we’re not putting ourselves or others at risk needlessly. It’s also an excellent time to read a little, not just to fret or spend too much time watching the goggle-box or on social media. A good book will help pass the time easily and is one of those things many of us might enjoy for the first time in far too long.

    Wishing everyone the best,

    Paul G

  5. Thank you Paul! Hope you stay safe also! It’s a good time to be in the shop working wood.

  6. Thank you Paul. You and your family and team stay safe as well. I hope we can all find ways to keep ourselves busy and sane through woodworking.

  7. Thank you Paul, I have plenty to keep me occupied in the workshop. Best wishes to you and your family and the Team.

  8. We are blessed to live in a fairly remote area in WV. We also keep a garden (can) and chickens. So we are better than most people. Too all those that have to venture out, my prayers go out too you and yours.

  9. Thank you.
My wishes to you, your family and WWMC team are bee safe, bee strong, take care.

Good luck to us all and do some woodworking – a great way to “work” o your time and mind!

  10. You are a good lad, Paul.
Many thanks for your kind words – very much appreciated.
    Kindest regards,
    Nigel

  11. Paul,

Will you be social distancing by imperial or metric measurements?

    Regards,

    Thomas

  12. Who knew when this first appeared that it would turn into this.
My wife told me yesterday that the hospital where she works found 5 cases of the virus. This after one day of the drive through station being set up.
Ironically doctors who are not directly involved in fighting this virus are out of work so this affects everyone in all kinds of ways.
I see us reverting back to the days when we helped our friends and neighbors already with delivery of free food, people doing what they can to help one another.
Thanks for the positive message Paul.

  13. Thank you Paul, and thank you to everyone that is doing everything they can to help slow down this pandemic, to save lives, and protect themselves and loved ones. We are surely being tested today. It does seem to me to be a wake-up call, modern life is not sustainable. I find joy and peace in the woodshop, but so much sadness for the uncertain future, and the suffering I know is coming for so many.

  14. Thank you Paul for all you do. Now if I could saw a straight line! The saw cut drifts to the right, lol… We can do this! I hope.

  15. When the events that have occurred in this world over the past 75 years that I have been around are taken into consideration, WW2, Korea, The Cold War, the Cuban Crisis, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, ISIS and I’m sure the forgotten ones SARS, Ebola … we know this too shall pass. We must take this outbreak serious and follow the directions of those who are in the know.

What we, as parents, need to do is impress on our children the importance of following the outline of our medical experts and not allow our kids to push the recommendations aside under the guise of “It won’t happen to me”.

Aside from protecting ourselves as the older generation, we have that additional responsibility of dragging our kicking and screaming children and grandchildren into the new routine remembering all along..”this too will pass”.

  16. Thank you for your post. The same to you, your family, your friends – and of course everyone else.

I work in retail, and after I receive my prosthesis (below knee) in a few weeks, I will return to work. So of course being in retail, the Coronavirus is of concern – on March 14, NPR reported online that “as of March 11, the United States had performed only 23 tests per million people, while the U.K had performed 347 per million, Italy 826 per million, and South Korea 3,692 per million”.

So clearly the US has to step up to the plate, and we as individuals must do everything we can to protect ourselves from catching and spreading the virus, no matter how difficult it may be to put our lives on hold for the time being. But back to our story… 🙂

I hope around the time I return to work I can return to the shop and make a few projects. I look forward to seeing your next project, whenever that may be. In the meantime I am designing a few things in my mind.

  17. Good on you Paul. Your woodworking friends around the globe fervently wish you and your terrific team good health.

  18. Thank you Paul for thinking of us at this worrying time.
I am in my 70s and staying at home. With the knowledge I have learned from you and you’re team this will certainly keep me occupied for next how many months ahead.
Thanks again Paul and you take care too.

  19. Thanks for the best wishes and the same to you, your family and team.
It’s a good thing for Internet, it helps keep more people in the work force and of course allows us to communicate as per this blog.
Thanks for all of your time and help in all areas of the hand woodworking world.

  20. Thanks so much for your wishes. With the aspect of keeping social isolation to prevent spread, it’s a good idea to go thru your videos and try to practise joinery and techniques.thanks for your kind words again.

    Greetings from San Francisco 🙂

  25. Hello Paul,

  27. To all,

Take care, stay safe and healthy.

I am missing spending time with my dad who is a carpenter and listening to his advice on projects that we were working on prior to this around the house.

My wife works with a public facing government department, while we are both healthy at the moment and not taking risks, we are staying away from him and her dad, and keeping in touch by phone in order to keep them safe.

  28. Thank you Paul for the well wishes. Our family is doing well and practicing the social distancing like everyone else now. Can’t wait for this to be over, but for now feel energized to stand at my bench and contemplate what is possible with all this new time on my hands! Hope you and your family are staying safe and strong during this time of difficulty. Can’t wait to see what you have been planning for the house over the next few months. Really looking forward to that.

    Best Wishes from California,
    Grant

  29. Thank You very Much Paul for your heartfelt message. We here have been concerned for you and all of your family and friends Your well being beyond what you teach and inspire us to do as the person you are means the world to us.

  30. Stay safe and well. I have been self isolated for over two weeks so far and my wood projects are helping a lot with the “cabin fever”. I enjoy watching all of your videos and have tried a few projects myself. I especially have appreciated your posts on sharpening tools. For so long I was really brutalizing wood more than I needed but now using your suggestions I am doing much better. My wood thanks you. Keep sending out good videos Paul.

  31. Thank you, Paul, for your kind comments and thoughts. I sincerely wish you, your family and your wonderful team all the best of luck during this crisis. Never mind the toilet rolls, I’ve been stockpiling wood!

  32. Thank you Paul. Adversity draws folk together. I’m confident the internet will help people to be “virtually” together. Woodworkers can draw comfort and occupation from your rich collection of videos.

  33. Not only corona , but we had huge earthquake 2 days ago in Croatia.! And sitting in a car at the parking lot, with my wife and small kid, away from falling chimneys and bricks at 6.30am, I was thinking… this is the worse, it can not be anything else. And when I lifted my head that fell in my hands… at the beggining of the spring, SNOW began slowly to fall…
Dear Mr. Sellers, thank you for your video lessons, almost anything I know about woodworking I learned from you.
After this we can only be stronger, as humans and woodworkers!
Your truly, as subscriber and person, Ivan
