Today in my Penrhyn Castle Workshop

New Legacy is different than most schools. Our courses meet the needs of real people and we strive to make certain everyone attending receives the very best instruction.

This is the first day of another three day Foundational Part I. I drove in early to finish up a couple of things and then went hoe for a cup of tea. I was surprised to see that there was a vintage car rally going on even as early as 7.30am but I got on with my tasks and then drove on home in my own vintage Vauxhall Corsa.

Many of the cars there were cars I drove in the 60s; Hillman Imps, Ford Anglias, MG Midgets and so on. Here are a couple early Jaguars:

Everyone worked hard throughout the day and we accomplished a lot. I find it difficult explaining how much these classes and workshops have meant to me through the years but seeing everyone a round the bench inspires me to continue in my quest for real woodworking for all. Being here in the UK is a new mission field for me. Raw, unchartered waters if you will and radically different than the USA. I loved my time in the USA and those of you I knew for so long that came from around the USA and Canada are still precious to me so please keep dropping me your emails and feel free to call me too.

Here is the close of the workshop. Sweeping soon followed and we closed the doors content once more.
